ULV Music

Yukiko Matsuyama will perform traditional and contemporary Japanese music with the koto, a traditional 13 string instrument, 6 p.m. Sunday in the Morgan Auditorium as part of the Sundays at the Morgan series. Admission is free for students.

West Gallery

The “Hiroshima and Nagasaki Posters” exhibit will open on International Peace Day Monday at 6 p.m in the West Gallery. The exhibit is to commemorate the 1945 atomic bombing. The West Gallery is located on the second floor of the Campus Center.

San Dimas Art

The Second Story Gallery in San Dimas will feature a group show of four artists, Richard Myer, Anton Ruf, Mike Johnson and Charles Fogg, in their September exhibit. The gallery will be open from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information visit sandimasarts.org.

Photography

“Documenters and Storytellers: Photographic Narratives in the 20th Century” is currently on display at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery at Scripps College. The exhibition shows how documentary photography has evolved to be works of art. The gallery is open from noon – 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Live Music

Friday Nights Live will feature live music in the Claremont Village from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 25. The featured musicians are High Strung Band, a blue grass and folk band, at the Public Plaza in Claremont; rock band J. Grizz Band at the Chamber Patio on 205 Yale Ave.; and Mike Wojniak, a folk, indie and pop rock musician at City Hall Plaza, 225 W. Second St. Admission is free.
